This is a good choice for Chinese food if you’re nearby Bedford. They serve all the classics and some special dishes that will impress you straight away. Our favourites here were the lobster with flying noodles and the Peking spare ribs. The presentation of the flying noodles was amazing, and the texture was very smooth. The Peking spare ribs were also delicious, not too salty and the meat was so easy to bite into. The service is here is okay - the lady who served us was a bit abrupt when taking our order. Plenty of indoor seating and overall pleasant visit.
Had dinner with my friend and my daughter. The food was pretty good but unfortunately after dinner when we left the restaurant, my daughter and I had diarrhea. We got to my hotel and straight into the toilet. My friend didn't get a bad tummy because he did not eat much of the Chinese veg with crab meat in egg sauce. Just unfortunate for us.
We were sorted promptly as we made the booking. The atmosphere was great with a big bar in front. The tea was a nice touch - chrysanthemum, goji and red dates I think. The food was slow to come out as our preordered goose was sold to someone else. So they had to cook one immediately. The individual dish prices were slightly expensive, however the portion was fairly large. The food in general was tasty and delicious. The goose was our last dish due to the cook time. It was slightly disappointing - maybe it’s because of the rushed preparation, or our high expectations due to the rave reviews regarding the goose. Although the taste was on point, the goose was chewy. It was also small when compared to other places. There was also no complimentary dessert/fruits.
Service are not too bad, still can be given 5 starts because they try their best while it's getting busier. Food are good, the best Mongolian beef we ever had, salted fish with eggplants are bit salty but still good. Woulf love to come back for try another menu.
